Tasty places to eat in Shropshire

Here are a few of our favourite places to eat in Shropshire – all within walking distance or a few minutes’ drive away. We’re spoiled for choice in Bridgnorth, with some great local pubs and restaurants in the town.

 The Bull’s Head Inn

Our welcoming local is The Bull’s Head Inn at Chelmarsh. It serves hearty home-cooked afternoon and evening meals, including pub grub favourites such as bangers and mash, steaks, pies and burgers, as well as great Sunday roasts. This dog-friendly drinking hole is just five minutes away by car or a 30-minute walk via a bridlepath.

The Acton At Morville

This fine dining restaurant in Bridgnorth serves tasty dishes made from locally sourced ingredients. If you like trying new flavours, we recommend the excellent lunch and dinner tasting menus. As well as a la carte options, there’s also a classic menu, which includes burgers and pizzas, plus roasts on Sundays. Dogs are welcome. It’s 15 minutes away by car.

This friendly local on Bridgnorth High Street has an excellent menu. Its home-cooked meals are made with local ingredients and change with the seasons. Plus, its Grade II-listed building has loads of character – a great place to settle in by the open fire on chilly days. It’s 10 minutes away by car.

A small independent restaurant in Bridgnorth, run by a Danish family, serving fresh food with a Nordic twist. A nice spot for brunch or lunch, as well as evening meals, that offers great value for money.

Spanish tapas sharing plates and Mexican mains are on the menu at this friendly independent restaurant. A great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends on Bridgnorth High Street.
