Discover great walks in Shropshire
Lots of our favourite walks in Shropshire begin right from our farm gate. There are paths leading to Chelmarsh Reservoir in one direction, with a gentle slope down to the River Severn in the other. Here are some of our favourite places for walking:
Jack Mytton Way
The Dinney sits on the Jack Mytton Way. This ancient bridleway travels through nearly 100 miles of Shropshire’s most beautiful countryside. It’s popular with horse riders and cyclists, as well as walkers. From The Dinney, it offers strolls beside the reed beds and wetlands of Chelmarsh Reservoir. Or grab a map, plan a route and set off for a challenging day’s hiking in the Shropshire Hills.
Severn Valley Country Park
This country park on the River Severn makes a great family day out at any time of year. Wander along marked walking trails, some of which follow the route of the UK’s longest river. It’s 10 minutes away by car.
Cromer Woods and Dudmaston
A National Trust estate with a network of circular trails that take you through woodland, countryside and farmland. There are also children’s play areas and a cafe. It’s 15 minutes away by car.
